Are all the artworks in the gallery made locally?

All the artists featured at Crafted Oamaru live and work in the Waitaki region or surrounding areas. Many are based in Oamaru, Kakanui, or North Otago, and most of their work reflects the landscapes, culture, and natural beauty of the area and beyond. 

Every piece is handcrafted with care and rooted in a deep connection to place.

Can I meet the artists or learn more about their creative process?

Many of our artists are active in the local community and happy to connect. Some offer workshops, custom commissions, or open studio events at times.

Can I purchase artworks online?

All artworks and handmade pieces on display at Crafted Oamaru are available for purchase. 

While we focus on an in-person experience in the Historic Precinct, selected pieces and artists may also have online stores or social media shops linked from our website.
